Great People

Soldiers that protect us, risk their lives for us, are some of the most amazing people we have met. They were so kind to us when we visited Ft. Bragg, NC. We heard stories about Iraq, Afghanistan, and even Panama. The 508 Paratroopers had their reunion, of which our Grandfather is a member from WWII. We were so blessed to hear their stories and experiences. Walking through the many museums with all of these soldiers of numerous wars brought us a better understanding and appreciation for our veterans and active duty soldiers. Thank you for your service.

Over Christmas we visited our Aunt and Uncle, and cousin in Arizona. They did so much for us and we had such a wonderful time with them! Our Uncle made the kids all sorts of beautiful doll furniture, castle, and barn out of wood. Our Aunt taught Naomi how to knit and cared for us so nicely. We had a great time with them and can’t wait to see them both again!

Cody hung over 1,000 sheets of drywall during our 4 month stay at Harvest Church. The men he worked with were so great. They were all so inspirational for Cody and he had a great time working with HL, Dave, Boyd, and all the rest of the workers putting up a 32,000sq. ft. church!

The ladies at Baby Land in Cleveland, GA were so kind to us. They shared a lot of insight to help us with our life. Shae had been layed off from work, and God used these ladies to encourage us. Who knew Baby Land would be a place to find peace and the Lord in our lives...
God is everywhere

While we were in Arizona Mr. Hanson gave Hanna an electric guitar and amp. He and his wife were both so great and Mr. Hanson said that he had never enjoyed giving something away more than he had giving Hanna the guitar! Thank you, Mr. Hanson!

Johnny, a guy we met at a campground. Sure touched our lives. He is a southern FL redneck. Hunts alligators, rides swamp buggies, catches wild hogs with his hands. He was camping next to us with his buddies. He brought a small wild hog back to our camper to show us, as a gift for the girl’s birthday! It bit his buddy. They brought it back out to the woods by holding it out their car window as they drove! The next morning that guys finger was black. He said it was fine, he didn’t need any medicine for it. What an experience! We really enjoyed listening to his wild stories!

What a nice man. We were camping
in TN. We all went for a walk around
the park. We saw a bull riding sticker on
the back of his truck. You know me,
we had to go knock on the door and
see if a real bull rider was staying in
that camper. Sure enough, he is a real
bull rider! He loves Jesus, too! He
just smiled when I asked him if he
had his bull riding gear there and would
mind showing it to Gabriel. I hope we
see him again someday. Maybe we’ll
have enough money to sponsor him!

Mr. Smith and Mr. Stodowsky did a great job
organizing the reunion. I know it was a lot of
work for them. We are so thankful everyone
put this together. It was a life changing
experience for us.

This was a gentleman from France. He told
us stories of when the Germans invaded
and when the Americans came to his
town and liberated them. Wow! Who
needs school books when you have the
real people!

Sgt Major noticed some of his
men were out of uniform, they had
given my kids their hard earned
combat pins, medals, and coins.
Those men were so generous with
us. We really appreciate it.

Sgt. McNeely had such a kind heart.

We enjoyed learning about his family.

So sweet, but such a tough and brave

soldier.

So many family and friends have been so generous with us that it will be hard to list them all. I will try to mention some, though, hoping I don’t forget anyone.

Of course, thank you to those that have let us stay at there home; Mom and Tom, Linda and Adrian, Country and Doranden, Nanny and Grandad, Meg and Dennis.

Thank you to those who have been so generous with us by either giving of their time, talents, gifts, and love. The people above are included in this list as well as 508 paratroopers, the Pastors at the meeting in Honea Path, SC, Billy and Sue, Pat and Jeremy, the church on our way back from Key West that gave us free hot dogs, Eleanor, Bill and Loren, the many churches and camps we have stayed at, youth group in Titusville, FL and Honea Path, SC, the Mellots and Fenos for dinner and atving on their ranch, Tom McGinnis, Mike Lee and Teri Lee, and so many more.

Meeting Mike Lee, the professional bull rider was amazing. He is one of the most generous people we know.
When Gabriel began to like bull riding, we wanted to find a professional that was of good character for him to admire and follow. Mike Lee was the man and still is. With God’s favor, we met him in Glendale.AZ at the PBR. We met him, talked with him, and got to know him as a person, not just a famous person. We heard his joys, problems, and struggles. He shared some of his successes and failures. We began emailing and communicating through his mother.
We met up with him in Springfield, MO at the PBR in Sept 2010. Talking with him, laughing, and worshipping God, together was so great.
