Mansfield is a cozy little town, it’s no wonder Laura Ingalls Wilder choose it for her last home. There is only one campground in Mansfield, Little Prairie RV Park, and it is a nice one at that. There is a duck pond, ponies, and full hookups. The Laura Ingalls Wilder house and museum is right across the street. We went there a few days after we arrived in Mansfield and spent the majority of the day exploring the historic homestead. There was her house, which she named Rocky Ridge Farm. This was the house that she wrote all of her Little House books in. Then there was the Rock House, the house Rose built for her parents. One night while we were in Mansfield, we ate at a little restaurant called Burger Barn. It was a nice little place, and had good prices. Before we left there was one last place we just had to go to, Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. Aside from a simply enormous seed shop with quality heirloom seeds, there are shops that you can go in and a huge chicken coop with a variety of birds! By Hanna
