From a ways off you can hear it. At first I didn’t know what it was. It sounded like a flood of water, but then almost like a lion’s roar . It was the falls. Water cascading down ledge after ledge, pouring over the boulders, creating an almost unearthly scene with the trees burst full with their fall colors. The cameras were snapping and the great group of people on the lookout post we were standing on bustled in between one another to get a good shot of the largest falls on the eastern side of the Mississippi. I squeezed my way to the front and snapped pictures over and over as quick as I could before my place was taken by another tourist. It puzzles me how anyone can think that something so grand can come from nothing, by chance. Like how a painting must have an artist and a photo must have a photographer, a earth with such beauty must have a creator.

WHITE WATER FALLS, NORTH CAROLINA

White Water falls is the largest falls on the Eastern side of the Mississippi. The White Water Falls dwarfed the
Issaqueena Falls that we had just about an hour before! If you like hiking then go down the Foot Hills Trail, which
you can go on from the Falls that will take you for eighty miles across the South Carolinian landscape. Cody so
desperately wanted to go, but we didn’t. There is a short, paved walk to the falls, which is totally wheel chair
accessible. Josephine walked a bunch of the way, and if she can do it, anyone can! There is another viewing point
that is down a large flight of stairs, which provides a very lovely view!
